You should expect to finish the program with your first prototype, a defined brand platform, and a clear plan for how to make your first dollars.
This experience is 100% virtual, so you can go through the ‘Camp at your own pace, or take the pace set by Aniyia & Francesca to launch in 10 weeks.
We encourage you to make this experience a priority for the next few months, but it’s totally okay if you prefer to take your time.
As an alumni, you will also have access to any future updates we make to the Bootstrapping Bootcamp content at no additional cost. It’s our hope that you’ll have the material and community now and in the future, if you have new business ideas you want to test!
How does the SCHOLARSHIP application process work?
Fill out the application.
Our team will review your application within ~72 hours and contact you to let you know what financial support we can offer. Unfortunately, scholarships are not offered for coaching.
You will be provided a special link to complete your enrollment.
You will have the option to make a one-time payment. Scholarships cannot be applied to payment plans.
After you complete your enrollment, you will be sent links to access to the Bootstrapping Bootcamp course, community, and other resources.
What happens after I SIGN UP FOR THE FULL PACKAGE? What else do i need?
After you complete your enrollment, you will immediately have access to the Bootstrapping Bootcamp course, community and other resources. Our curriculum builds week over week on the results of your assignments.
When you log in, you will also see instructions and information about how to join group coaching sessions. Live coaching with Francesca is held for 10 weeks every Thursday at 7PM Eastern / 4PM Pacific starting June 25th.
Attendance is not mandatory, but if you are following the 10-week pace set by Aniyia and Francesca, we encourage you to set aside the time for the sessions each Thursday, and use Friday through Monday to work on your assignments. Coaching sessions will also be made available to watch on-demand.
After coaching, make updates to your assignments and then you’ll take those results into the next week.
This bootcamp is 100% virtual, so you will need a computer with a stable internet connection. Other than that, bring yourself and a readiness to learn and take action!
What’s the group coaching like? What IF I CAN’t Make the group coaching session TIME?
Group coaching is ~2 hours and in an open format where people volunteer for the “hot seat” (though we sometimes call people out 😇). We then spend up to 15 minutes working through someone’s questions or challenges.
We try to keep our coaching cohorts small to allow everyone to have many hot seat moments throughout the ‘Camp.
We suggest arranging your schedule to attend these sessions, as it will make the most of your experience, but the sessions are not mandatory. If you prefer to do your own thing, or in case something comes up, recordings will be available on the platform shortly after each session ends.
Can I do one-on-one coaching instead of group Coaching?
Yes! We have a few slots available for people who prefer a private one-on-one coaching session. Upgrading to one-on-one coaching is an additional cost. Contact us for pricing.
Sessions are 45 minutes for 10 weeks with Francesca! You will schedule your session time with her after registering. In addition, you’ll still have the option of attending and participating in the group coaching sessions.

Can I Sign up for coaching separately?
Yes, but you can only join during the first few weeks after a new cohort launches, and the pricing will not be prorated.

Why should I choose this program? Who will i be working with?
Our organization exists to help our founders generate revenue, so they can feel in control of their lives, help their families, and build wealth. If this is what you want, and are willing to do the hard work of getting it, we are committed to helping you succeed.
The Bootcamp is led by Aniyia Williams (our Executive Director) and Francesca Escoto (our Director of Education).
Aniyia grew up in a family business from 5 years old, and worked in fundraising for nonprofits after graduating college. She has spent the last 8 years in tech at startups and launched her own fashion hardware company, Tinsel. Aniyia likes to take the best parts of Silicon Valley know-how, mix it with traditional business best practices, and translate it into what’s relevant for founders of color. She’s started 3 companies (including Black & Brown Founders), raised capital from investors, manufactured products in China, got a patent, and gotten features in top tier press like the New York Times, BBC News, Elle, Vogue, TechCrunch and more.
Francesca knows what it is like to come from nothing, and build something. She’s owned franchises, done network marketing, built a million-dollar software company in the aviation industry, and coached hundreds of entrepreneurs in a variety of industries from pharmaceuticals to software to cosmetics. Brands like MIT Media Lab and Google have trusted Francesca to train their entrepreneurs on how to build businesses that make a social impact. She’s 100% about helping you grow the money in your pocket.
We know that starting from square one can be an overwhelming task. It’s not clear how to get from Point A to Point B, and there’s a list of classic mistakes that founders make which can be costly. In addition to getting the #receipts you need as an entrepreneur, we will hold you accountable while also supporting you.
What if I still have doubts about my business idea?
That’s perfectly fine! We enjoy working with founders at the earliest stages of their journey. And in fact, many people will probably pivot or change what they are working on entirely after going through the first few weeks of assessment and discovery.
Do I have to be Black or Latinx to participate?
You are welcome to apply and enroll in the Bootcamp, even if you are not Black or Latinx. Our program content is tailored to perspectives of Black and/or Latinx people, but all are invited to participate as long as you are respectful to the community.
Aren’t you a nonprofit… why isn’t this free?!
We understand that finances can be a challenge, and we do our best to make our programs cost-accessible. However, we do have to cover the costs of running them. We hope that the option to apply for a scholarship and the ability to pay in installments helps more founders take part in our program.
Rest assured knowing that you’re making an investment in yourself, and enabling the work of our organization. We’re here to help you make cash money and hope to see you earn much more than what you’ll pay for tuition. 🤑 We want you to succeed!
By the way, the word “nonprofit” is kind of misleading (hey, we didn’t invent it)! Nonprofits can make a profit and should aim to end their fiscal year with a surplus of revenue. The nonprofit business classification actually just means that we can’t distribute our profits to private individuals. Because no one owns a nonprofit.

What’s your refund policy?
We are happy to refund your payment within the first 30 days, on the condition that you have watched/completed the videos and assignments from Part 1.
If you put in the work for the first few weeks, and don’t feel like you’ve gained anything, we will refund your money. If an emergency comes up after 30 days that prohibits you from participating, we will reserve a spot for you in our next cohort to pick up where you left off.
Entrepreneurship isn’t easy. Please come into the program ready and willing to make things happen!
